Life doesn’t make any sense without interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn that, the better for us all.

Erik Erikson

These are challenging and uncertain times. Each day we watch news of the pandemic, injustices, and a planet in peril. In response, our emotions may vacillate between anxiety and resilience, despair and hope, grief and love. Just when we need it the most, our normal means of contact, connection, and support have been strained if not uprooted.

Our Coming Together circles support all of us and facilitate meaningful connections across the globe. Volunteer hosts also enjoy creating circles that support those dealing with specific issues such as gender, age, race, geography, language, and arts-based healing.

Circles are free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

Women’s circles

For many women, our lives were challenging enough, and now we’re affected by unprecedented events that have turned our lives upside down and inside out.

Each day, we watch news of the pandemic, injustices, and a planet in peril. In response, our emotions may vacillate between anxiety and resilience, despair and hope, grief, and love. Just when we need it the most, our normal means of contact, connection, and support have been strained if not uprooted.

Our women’s healing circle offers a safe, supportive space to walk with each other through these times. Each circle is a blend of sharing and silence, compassion, and curiosity. It’s a space where we connect with other women who are experiencing similar challenges, feelings and emotions. Where we can speak truth from our heart without judgment. Our agreements ensure acceptance and confidentiality. We honor our own unique paths to healing and respect the choices of others.

Men’s circles

The social conditioning of men in our society can be a barrier to the self-reflection and openness necessary for presence and full participation in mixed-gender circles. By exploring this conditioning, while addressing issues common to all of humanity, we hope to create unique opportunities to enhance the socio-emotional resilience of male-identified participants.

With this circle, our intention is to recognize and support the humanity of our male-identified members.

Social justice circles

This circle will be a safe space for women to come together to talk about what matters to us. All too often, we internalize the stressors of oppression, racism, sexism, and inequality and turn them against ourselves. This takes a big toll on us.

It’s time for us to stand up for change, use our voices, and be H.E.A.R.D. (Heal, Empower, Accept, Reset, and Discover).

Writing circles

To everything, there is a season. Writing Through Covid is like a season of being with and looking through a kaleidoscope of changes, experiences, and feelings. Times of quarantine, lockdown, and sheltering in. Times of retreating, pilgrimages, and contemplation. Times of re-evaluation, profound disequilibrium, and losses. Times of the deepening of values, creativity, self-care, and appreciation of nature.

Through this writing circle, we will focus on the healing and support of poetry, writing prompts, and journaling. This will be a circle for honoring one’s experience of discovery and expression during this time of Writing Through Covid. This will not be about craft, techniques, or the critiquing of one’s writing.

Autoimmunity circles

This is a circle for people living with autoimmunity and their loved ones. Autoimmunity is a paradoxical reaction of the body defending against itself. It comprises a broad category of illnesses, many of which have vague trajectories and symptoms that often elude diagnosis and treatment.

How do we evolve a relationship with autoimmunity? How do we endure suffering, the loss and pain, and grief for who we used to be? Where do we find meaning? How do we acknowledge and evoke our capacities for healing?

European circles

We are experiencing difficult and uncertain times. In just over a year, our lives in Europe (and everywhere) have dramatically changed. Sometimes, we feel powerless, overwhelmed, angry, sad, unsettled … And just when we need it most, our normal means of contact, connection, and support have been strained if not uprooted.

This circle is offered to people living in Europe. We will be communicating in English.
